Visit the Zoo in San Diego

Zoos in San Diego include the renowned San Diego Zoo where animals thrive in tropical jungles, African forests, and reproduced natural habitats serving as home of thousands of unusual animals, some of which have been rescued from the brink of extinction. A giant surprise included in the zoos in San Diego is an aquarium masked as a well-liked theme park visitor attraction.

San Diego Zoo

Enough can not be declared about the splendour of the 100 acre San Diego Zoo. Situated in Balboa Park in San Diego, California, the San Diego Zoo is home to over 800 species and 4,000 animals including the giant Panda. The zoo in San Diego is passionate about protecting and rescuing species. At the zoo in San Diego endangered animals are bred in captivity only to be released in their environment. There are many animal sections for viewing animals in their natural environment at the San Diego Zoo. One of the most well-liked animal zones is the Polar Rim where visitors can see the Arctic Aviary, Reindeer and Polar Bear exhibits. Located nearby is Panda Canyon, which is home to the world-renowned San Diego Zoo's Giant Pandas. The Lost Forest animal section is a tropical habitat for many endangered wildlife and includes apes, monkeys, hippos, and a massive variety of birds. Kids are exposed to nature and fauna in an individual way in the Discovery Outpost in the children's zoo, insect house, reptile house, crocodile and turtle exhibit, and the Sea Lion Show. Step into the enchanted Hummingbird House to look at hummingbirds enjoying life in an interesting indoor tropical jungle setting, complete including waterfalls.

SeaWorld

The most popular San Diego aquarium is found inside of SeaWorld. Visitors can walk through the planet's most massive underwater tunnels to be astonished by sharks in their habitat as they swim overhead. Come head to head with Shamu and other killer whales as they swim up to the glass wall of their million-gallon pool. The most original and lovely aquariums in SeaWorld are the the California Tide Pools and the Cirque de la Mer. Visitors are astonished by the strange and colorful marine life on view in the Cirque de la Mer aquarium. The California Tide Pool gives visitors a remarkable chance to essentially reach in and touch the mysterious sea creatures that dwell in a tide pool, like anemones, star fish, sea urchins.

Birch Aquarium at Scripps Institution of Oceanography

Another popular San Diego aquarium is the Birch Aquarium at Scripps Institution of Oceanography where giant aquariums bring the poser of ocean life sufficiently close to touch with more than sixty habitats full of Pacific marine life. Some preferred exhibits include ""There's Something About Seahorses", Coral Displays and Kelp Forest, Living Tide Pools where visitors can touch marine life, Shark Reef & Hall of Fishes, and much more. The Birch Aquarium is unique in that it concentrates on local San Diego coastal sea life and also does conservation and research together with the University of California at San Diego.
